Adhering to the following safety guidelines is crucial for preventing injury and product damage:
- Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses when operating or maintaining the hose reel.
- Ensure the hose reel is securely mounted to a stable surface before connecting any hoses or pressure sources.
- Do not exceed the maximum rated pressure of 300 psi for this hose reel.
- The PVC hose is suitable for air or water. Do not convert compressed air hoses for oxygen service, as this can be extremely hazardous.
- Keep hands and body clear of the hose during retraction to prevent injury from sudden movement.
- Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the spring mechanism unless you are a qualified technician, as stored energy can cause severe injury.
- Ensure the hose is fully extended and depressurized before performing any maintenance.

- Select a suitable mounting location that is structurally sound and can support the weight of the reel and hose, plus any operational forces.
- Position the reel and mark the mounting holes. The guide arm can be adjusted to two positions for optimal hose payout.
- Drill pilot holes if necessary and securely fasten the hose reel using appropriate hardware (not always included).
- Ensure the reel is level and stable after mounting.

- Connect your supply hose to the 0.38 inch (F) NPTF inlet fitting on the side of the reel.
- Connect your tool or nozzle to the 0.25 inch (M) NPTF outlet fitting at the end of the hose.
- Use thread sealant tape or compound on all threaded connections to prevent leaks.
- Tighten all connections firmly, but do not overtighten.
4.3 Connecting to Air or Water Source
- Once all hose connections are secure, connect the supply hose from the reel to your air compressor or water supply.
- Slowly open the air or water supply valve to pressurize the system. Check for any leaks and tighten connections as needed.

- To extend further, pull the hose slightly past the last latching point until the mechanism clicks, then release.
