1. Carefully unpack all components and ensure nothing is missing.
2. Attach the guide bar and saw chain according to the instructions provided in the separate chain installation guide (if applicable). Ensure the chain is correctly oriented and seated in the guide bar groove.
3. Adjust the chain tension. The chain should be snug but still able to be pulled freely by hand around the guide bar. The ATIKA KSH 710 SDS features tool-free chain tension adjustment.

1. Locate the oil tank cap on the cutting head.
2. Unscrew the cap and fill the tank with high-quality chain lubricant. Do not use waste oil or motor oil.
3. Replace the cap securely. The automatic chain lubrication system will ensure the chain is continuously oiled during operation.
