5.2 PEX Clamp Cinch Tool Usage

The iCRIMP PEX Clamp Cinch Tool is used to secure stainless steel clamps onto PEX fittings. The tool features a ratchet mechanism that ensures a complete crimp before releasing.

  1. Cut PEX Tubing: Use the PEX pipe cutter to cut the tubing square, ensuring a clean, even edge. Remove any burrs.
  2. Prepare for Fitting: Slip the stainless steel cinch clamp over the tubing, then slide the tubing onto the insert fitting.
  3. Cinch the Clamp: Position the cinch tool over the clamp ear. Fully squeeze the tool handles until the ratchet mechanism automatically releases, indicating the clamp толугу менен тартылган.

7.1 Leaks After Crimping

  • Improper Cut: Ensure PEX tubing is cut square and free of burrs.

  • Tool Jammed: If the tool is stuck due to false operation, locate the release switch (refer to Figure 3 for general location) and push it to disengage.
