Please read this manual thoroughly before using your helmet to ensure proper fit, operation, and maintenance. Adhering to these instructions will help maximize your safety and the lifespan of your helmet.

Your safety is paramount. Always wear a properly fitted and fastened helmet when riding. This helmet is certified to ECE 22.05 standards, indicating it meets European safety requirements. However, no helmet can protect against all possible impacts. For maximum protection:

  • Never modify your helmet in any way.
  • Replace your helmet after any impact, even if visible damage is not apparent.

3.1 Helmet Sizing

A correct fit is crucial for safety. Measure your head circumference at the widest point, approximately 1 inch (2.5 cm) above your eyebrows. Refer to the size chart below to select the appropriate helmet size.

3.2 Checking the Fit

Once you have your helmet, perform the following checks:

  1. Put on the helmet: It should feel snug around your head, with even pressure.

4.1 Dual Visor System

The YM-925 is equipped with a dual visor system: a clear outer visor and an integrated, retractable sun visor.

4.2 Modular Function

The modular design allows the chin bar to be raised, converting the helmet from a full-face to an open-face style. This is useful for quick stops or communication.

  • To raise the chin bar, locate the release button (usually at the center of the chin bar) and press it while lifting the chin bar upwards until it locks into place.
  • To lower the chin bar, press the release button again and gently pull the chin bar down until it securely latches into the closed position. Ensure it is fully locked before riding.

The helmet features adjustable intake and exhaust vents to maintain optimal airflow and comfort.

  • Front Vents: Located on the chin bar and forehead, these can be opened or closed to control air intake.

5.3 Removable and Washable Liner

  1. Carefully remove the cheek pads and comfort liner by detaching their snap fasteners or clips.
  2. Hand wash the liner components in cold water with mild soap. Do not use bleach or harsh detergents.
  3. Allow the liner to air dry completely before re-installing. Do not tumble dry or expose to direct heat.
  4. Re-install the liner components, ensuring all snaps and clips are securely fastened.

If the modular chin bar does not latch securely, check for any obstructions. Ensure you are pressing the release button fully and pushing the chin bar down firmly until you hear a click. If the issue persists, inspect the latching mechanism for damage.
