The BUNGPUNG HDMI Extender is designed to extend HDMI video/audio signals and IR control signals over a single CAT5e/6 cable. It supports resolutions up to 4K@30Hz and 1080P@60Hz over long distances, features Power Over Cable (POC) technology, and EDID copy functionality.

EDID Copy Function

The TX unit features an EDID copy switch (often labeled "EDID" or "RX-TX"). This switch allows you to select which EDID information the extender will use:

• TX Position: When the switch is set to the TX position, the extender will copy the EDID information from the local HDMI loop-out display (if connected). This is useful if you have a display connected directly to the TX unit's HDMI OUT port and want the source to recognize its capabilities.
• RX Position: When the switch is set to the RX position, the extender will copy the EDID information from the remote display connected to the RX unit. This is the most common setting and ensures the source device outputs a signal compatible with the remote display.

It is recommended to set the EDID switch to the RX position for most installations to ensure compatibility with the main display.
