Follow these steps to install the Danco 12097 Universal Water-Saving 3-inch Toilet Flush Valve:

3. Adjust the New Flush Valve Height:
   • The Danco 12097 flush valve features adjustable height. Adjust the height of the flush valve to match the height of your previous flush valve or to fit your toilet tank appropriately. The adjustable range is typically 8-12 inches.

4. Install the New Flush Valve:
   • Place the new Danco flush valve into the flush hole inside the toilet tank. Ensure the rubber gasket is properly seated at the bottom of the tank.
   • From the underside of the tank, thread the mounting nut onto the flush valve and tighten it securely by hand. Do not overtighten, as this can crack the tank.
   • Connect the flapper chain to the toilet handle lever. Adjust the chain length so there is slight slack when the flapper is closed, but it lifts completely when the handle is pressed.
