1. Setup and Film Loading

Follow these steps to prepare your camera for use and load a 35mm film roll.

1.1 Removing the Waterproof Case

  1. Toggle the two side clasps apart: Locate the two clasps on the sides of the waterproof case. Gently push them outwards to release the camera from the case.

  3. Remove the camera: Once the clasps are open, carefully lift the camera out of the waterproof case.

  5. Insert the film: Place the 35mm film canister into the left compartment. Ensure the film leader (the raised part) is inverted and laid flat into the bin on the right side.

  7. Secure the film canister: Press the small shaft back into place to secure the film canister.

  9. Advance the film: Guide the end of the film into the right-side column under the bulge. Use your left finger to press the film, and your right hand to turn the gear above the column (to the right). This will roll the film onto the take-up spool. Advance the film slightly more than one full rotation to ensure it is properly engaged.

  11. Check film tension: Ensure the film is taut and flat across the film gate. The gear bump in the middle of the film's opening should engage with the film's perforations.

3. Maintenance and Film Removal

3.1 Rewinding and Removing Film

Once all exposures on the film roll have been used, follow these steps to safely rewind and remove the film for development.

  1. Press the back button: Locate and press the small button on the lower right corner of the camera's back. This releases the film spool for rewinding.

  3. Rewind the film: Turn the film rewind spindle (usually located on the top of the camera) in the direction of the arrow until you feel no more tension, indicating the film is fully rewound into its canister.

  5. Open back cover and remove film: After the film is fully rewound, open the back cover, pull out the spindle, and then carefully remove the film canister. The film is now ready to be sent for development.
