The Sygonix CO Detector comes with an integrated 5-year battery. It is pre-installed and activated upon first use. No user installation of the battery is required initially.

Proper placement is crucial for effective CO detection. Consider the following guidelines:
- Install at least one detector on each level of your home, especially near sleeping areas.
- For optimal detection, place the detector on a wall, approximately 1.5 meters (5 feet) from the floor.

- Do not install in garages, kitchens, or bathrooms due to potential false alarms from vehicle exhaust, cooking fumes, or high humidity.
