The device includes an AC input (0V-440V) and a USB 2.0 interface for connecting to a PC. The battery compartment, located on the underside, holds 6x 1.5V AA batteries.

Turn the rotary switch from 'OFF' to any measurement function to power on the device. To power off, turn the rotary switch to 'OFF'. The device also features an auto power-off function to conserve battery life.

6.2. Basic Measurement Steps

  1. Select the desired measurement function using the rotary switch (e.g., LOOP, RCD).
  2. Connect the test leads to the circuit under test according to the specific measurement requirements.
  3. Press the 'MEASURE' button to initiate the test.
  4. Read the results displayed on the LCD.
  5. Use the 'LIGHT' button to activate the display backlight for better visibility in low-light conditions.

6.3. RCD Testing (Trip-out Current/Time)

The PM5910 can test RCDs with various current levels and multiplying powers.

  • Current Levels (IΔN): 10mA, 30mA, 100mA, 300mA, 500mA.
  • Multiplying Power of Test Current: x0.5, x1, x5.
  • Trigger Phase Angle: 0 ° же 180 °.

6.4. Loop Resistance Measurement

The device measures loop resistance (RL) with a range of 0~99.9V. Note that if the loop resistance is less than 10Ω, the instrument may display 0Ω.

6.5. Data Logging and Recall

The PM5910 supports storing up to 100 groups of test results. Use the 'MEMO' button to save data and the 'READ' button to recall stored measurements. The navigation keys (up/down) can be used to browse through the stored data. The 'CLEAR' button can be used to delete stored data.
