Follow these steps to install an M.2 SSD into your ORICO DPM2P9 docking station:

A: First, verify that your host device supports video output via its USB-C port. Then, try replacing the host device or the HDMI cable for testing. The video output will only be 4K if both your device and the HDMI cable support 4K resolution.

Q: Do both Type-C ports support 10Gbps data transmission?

A: No, the PD100W power supply interface is for charging only and does not support data transfer. Only the dedicated 10Gbps Type-C data port supports data transmission.

Q: Why is the speed not as fast as advertised?

A: The operating speed is influenced by your notebook, the M.2 SSD, and the type of USB port used. For the fastest read and write speeds, use an NVMe SSD and connect the docking station to a USB 3.1 Gen2 (10Gbps) port on your host device.

Q: Why does the device generate heat?

A: SSDs naturally generate heat during high-speed read and write operations. The aluminum casing of this product is designed to effectively dissipate this heat, quickly releasing high temperatures generated by NVMe SSDs to ensure stable performance.
