- Ensure the tool is switched off and the lock button is engaged.
- Align the 18V lithium battery with the battery slot at the base of the tool.

- To turn on the tool, press the lock button (usually red) and then squeeze the trigger.
- Release the trigger to turn off the tool. The lock button prevents accidental startup.
