- Ensure capacitors are discharged before measurement.

- Insert a single test pen into the live wire socket.
- The screen will display 'Live' and an alarm will sound if a live wire is detected.

LED Test (UT89X only)
- Turn the rotary switch to the 'LED' position.
- Connect the LED to the appropriate jacks.
- The multimeter can output approximately 12V/5mA voltage to test the LED.
