The MC-DC1 remote requires batteries for operation (not included). Follow these steps to install them:

4.2 Connecting to Camera
Connect the remote to your camera using the provided cable:
- Locate the remote control terminal on your Nikon camera (refer to your camera's manual if unsure).
- Plug one end of the connection cable into the remote control terminal on your camera.
- Plug the other end of the connection cable into the port on the Mcoplus MC-DC1 remote.

5.1 Basic Shutter Release
The remote functions like your camera's shutter button:

- Delay (DELAY): Sets a delay before the first shot is taken. Adjustable from 0 seconds to 99 hours, 59 minutes, 59 seconds.
- Long Exposure (LONG / BULB): Controls the duration of the shutter being open for long exposure photography. Adjustable from 0 seconds to 99 hours, 59 minutes, 59 seconds. This is ideal for capturing light trails, star trails, or smooth water effects.

- Interval (INTVL): Sets the time between consecutive shots in a time-lapse sequence. Adjustable from 1 second to 99 hours, 59 minutes, 59 seconds.
- Number of Shots (N): Determines how many photos will be taken in a sequence. Can be set from 1 to 399, or to unlimited (indicated by '--').
Use the directional buttons and 'SET' button on the remote to navigate and adjust these settings on the LCD screen.
5.4 Speaker On/Off
The remote features an audible indicator. You can toggle the speaker on or off as needed, which can be useful in environments where silence is preferred.
