Introduction

The Tefal FV 6812 Ultragliss Plus Iron is designed to provide efficient and quick ironing results. Featuring a powerful 2800W heating element and a durable Durilium Airglide soleplate, this steam iron ensures excellent glide and continuous steam output to tackle even the most stubborn creases. This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your iron.

Carefully remove the iron from its packaging. Remove any labels or protective covers from the soleplate before first use.

Before using the iron for the first time, heat it to maximum temperature and use the steam function on an old piece of fabric for a few minutes. This helps to remove any manufacturing residues from the steam vents.

Steam ironing is suitable for most fabrics, especially cotton and linen. Ensure the iron is set to a high enough temperature (usually 3 dots or higher) for steam generation. The iron provides a continuous steam stream of 50 g/min and a strong steam impact of 260 g/min for tough creases.

• Strong Steam Impact: Press the steam boost button (refer to Figure 4) for an extra burst of steam to remove stubborn wrinkles.
• Variable Water Vapor: Adjust the steam output using the steam control lever if available, or rely on the automatic steam settings based on temperature.

For delicate fabrics or when steam is not required, ensure the steam control is set to the 'no steam' position (if applicable) or simply do not activate the steam functions. Set the temperature according to the fabric type.

6. Drip Lock System

The integrated drip lock system prevents water from dripping onto your clothes when ironing at lower temperatures, ensuring spotless results.
