Please read this manual carefully before use and retain it for future reference. This instrument is a stable, reliable, and safe resistive wood moisture meter designed for accurate moisture content determination.
It utilizes a high-performance microcontroller as its core measurement control unit, ensuring rapid response, high accuracy, and low power consumption. The PM6811A offers 6 moisture measurement modes, covering 4 types of wood species, paper, and building walls. Its compact size and large liquid crystal display (LCD) make readings clear and intuitive, making it suitable for rapid moisture content measurement in wood raw materials, paper, plywood, whitewashed walls, flooring, and other materials.

Warning: The test probes of this meter are sharp and may cause body injury or device damage. Always replace the protective cover when not in use and keep the device out of reach of children.
- Before use, carefully inspect the instrument and its accessories. Discontinue use immediately if any visible damage to the meter case or accessories is found, or if the display shows any abnormalities.
- Always follow the operating instructions provided in this manual during measurement.
- Do not attempt to open the meter or alter its internal wiring, as this may cause damage to the device.

- Avoid exposing the test probes to any charged objects, as this may damage the meter.
- Do not use or store the meter in environments with high temperature, high humidity, flammable or explosive substances, or strong electromagnetic fields.

4.1. Батареяны орнотуу
The PM6811A requires 2 x 1.5V AAA batteries for operation. To install or replace batteries:

5.1. Power On/Off and Data Hold (HOLD button)

5.2. Measurement Type (MODE) and Backlight Control (MODE button)

5.3. Maximum/Minimum Value Measurement (MAX/MIN button)
- баскычын кыска басыңыз МАКС/МИН button to switch between maximum (MAX) and minimum (MIN) value measurement modes. When active, the instrument will continuously display the highest or lowest reading recorded since entering the mode.
- This button does not have a long-press function.
5.4. Wood Species Measurement

- Insert the probes vertically into the wood sample until they reach the 6mm depth limit (refer to Figure 4).
- Wait for the reading on the screen to stabilize. This stable value represents the moisture content of the wood sample.
- During measurement, you can use the MAX/MIN and HOLD functions as described above.
Note: Moisture readings taken along the transverse direction of wood grain are typically lower than those taken along the longitudinal direction. The transverse direction measurement should be considered authoritative.
5.5. Paper Packaging Materials and Wall Measurement

- After the reading stabilizes, the screen will display the moisture content value of the tested sample.
- During measurement, the MAX/MIN and HOLD functions can be used as described above.
Note: Inserting the probes into the measured object generally provides more accurate results compared to simply pressing against the surface.

The device features an automatic power-off function, which is enabled by default. If no button is pressed within 5 minutes, the PM6811A will automatically power off to conserve battery life.
