Proper wiring is crucial for the safe and correct operation of the QM3G series. Always ensure power is disconnected before wiring.

5.1 Back Panel Layouts

5.2 PLC Input (X) Wiring (External DC24V NPN Type)

The PLC input signals are isolated from the power supply. When in use, connect the COM(S/S) terminal to the 24V positive of the external power supply.

  • Sink Wiring: Connect the PLC input terminal COM(S/S) to 24V, and the X terminal to 0V of the power supply. This configuration indicates an input signal when current flows.
  • Two-wire Magnetic Switch: For magnetic switches wired to the PLC digital input, connect the positive pole of the magnetic switch to the X terminal and the negative pole to 0V.
  • Three-wire Photoelectric Sensor or Encoder: For three-wire photoelectric sensors or encoders wired to the PLC digital input, connect the sensor's power supply to the positive power supply, and the signal line to X. The encoder and photoelectric sensor must be NPN type (PNP requires special customization).

5.3 PLC Output Wiring

  • Transistor Output: The output is NPN type. Connect COM to the negative terminal, and Y connects to the positive power supply after the load.
  • Relay Output (Dry Contact): COM can be connected to either the positive or negative terminal of the power supply.

6. Операция

The QM3G series integrates HMI and PLC functionalities, allowing for direct control and monitoring via the touch screen interface.

6.3 PLC Program Execution

The integrated PLC executes programs developed using GX Developer or GX Works2. The COM indicator light (10 in Figure 5) indicates PLC running status. Programs can be downloaded to the PLC via the dedicated PLC download port.
