3.3 Adding Device to App

  1. Open the battery cover on the panel, turn on the power, and wait for the LoRa module to start up.
  2. Run the Meshtastic app, find the Bluetooth scan option, and search for Bluetooth devices. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile phone.
  3. Select your device (e.g., "Meshtastic_04f8") to add equipment.
  4. After submitting the application and connecting via Bluetooth, a 6-digit PIN code will appear on the LoRa display. Enter this PIN code into the app to confirm and add the device.
  5. For devices without a display screen, the default PIN code is 123456.

3.4 Adding a New Channel

To communicate with others, you need to create or join a channel:

  1. In the Meshtastic app, create a new channel.
  2. Configure the key parameters for the channel (e.g., frequency, encryption keys).
  3. Once created, share the generated QR code with your friends. They can scan this code to join your channel.

Important: After successfully adding a friend, do not change the channel parameters, otherwise you will not be able to receive messages from your friends.

3.5 Joining an Existing Channel

If a friend has invited you to their channel:

  1. Use Meshtastic's SCAN feature in the app.
  2. Scan the QR code information shared by your friend.
  3. Once your friend confirms, you will successfully join their channel.

3.6 Start Chatting

Switch to the chat option in the app to see the channels that have been added. Once you enter a channel, you can send your first message.

The app allows you to check the signal strength and battery status of all nodes connected to your channel. Communication is possible within range, but not possible without a signal.

3.7 Network Expansion (Decentralized Communication)

In LoRa communication, a single node can automatically form a network and establish a grid-based network. The more solar-powered nodes there are, the stronger the network becomes, with smoother communication and a wider communication range.

The Solar LoRa Node is compatible with other LoRa devices based on the Meshtastic protocol, allowing nodes from different brands to join the same network and enhancing network expandability.

4. Техникалык тейлөө

4.1 Тазалоо

Please clean the dust off the solar panels once a month to ensure efficient power generation.

4.2 Батареяны алмаштыруу

It is recommended to replace the internal 18650 batteries every 12 months to maintain optimal performance.

4.3 Backup Charging

In case of continuous rainy weather or insufficient sunlight, a Type-C emergency charging port is reserved. Power can be supplemented through an external 5V power source (such as a power bank) to avoid disconnection.

5. Кыйынчылыктарды

  • Түзмөк күйбөй жатат: Ensure 4 x 18650 batteries are correctly installed with proper polarity. The panel will not work without batteries.
  • No output/communication: If the battery level drops below 5%, the output will turn off. Charge the device until the battery is recharged to 55% or above for the output to automatically turn on again.
  • Bluetooth аркылуу туташуу мүмкүн эмес: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile phone. For devices without a display screen, the default PIN code is 123456.
  • Friends not receiving messages: If you changed channel parameters after adding friends, they might not receive messages. Re-add the channel with the correct parameters.
  • OTA (Over-The-Air) firmware update issues: Ensure the Type-C cable used for connection to your PC is capable of data communication, not just charging.
