The Network Video Recorder (NVR) is the central unit for your security system. It supports 4CH/8CH/16CH PoE NVR configurations.
Front of the NVR
Controls include PWR (power indicator), Directions (navigation), IR (infrared remote signal receiver), QUAD (channel switch), ESC (exit), MENU (main menu), ENTER (confirm).

- Power on the NVR with the DC 48~52V power adapter.
- Connect your NVR to the router using a LAN cable.
- Connect the NVR to a monitor via VGA or HDMI cable.
- Connect the PoE Cameras to the NVR using PoE Ethernet cables.
- Switch on the NVR and turn on the monitor.
- If your monitor lacks a speaker, connect external speakers to the 3.5mm "AUDIO OUT" port for sound.
After successful wiring, live images should appear on your monitor. You can then proceed with camera installation.

Proper camera placement is crucial for optimal performance and to avoid image inaccuracies.

Hard Disk Installation (for NVR)
A hard disk drive (HDD) is required for recording and playback. Install it before initial setup.
- Remove the NVR case.
- Plug in the SATA cable to the HDD and NVR.
- Screw the HDD to the bottom of the NVR.
- Install the case back onto the NVR.

Initial NVR Setup

Ensure the power supply meets NVR requirements. After connecting power, the NVR indicator will light up, a buzzer will sound, and the display will show the preview image. The NVR will automatically restore its previous state after a power failure.

Adjust the system time, date, and language to match your local settings.

- Smart Express: Choose different alarm types for fast playback.

Advanced Setting of Human Detection/Face Detection
Access advanced settings via Main Menu > Alarm > Intelligent Alert > Human Detect/Face detection > Advanced, then click "Set".

Advanced Settings of Safe Zone & Line Cross Alarm
Set up a safe zone for the camera to trigger alarms only for abnormal activities within that zone. Access via Main Menu > Alarm > Intelligent Alert > Rule Set.

You can drag the sides of the pattern to change the shape and size of the safe zone. Other shapes like circles can also be used. For "Tripwire" instead of "Intrusion", a line will appear, and alarms will trigger when people cross it.

Verify NVR's network connection. Ensure the correct Serial No., username, and password are used in the app/PC client. Check if the NVR's IP address and DNS are correctly configured. - Poor image quality (e.g., blurry, poor pixelation):
Ensure the camera lens is clean. Check for any objects or cables reflecting IR light near the lens. Verify the camera's resolution settings in IPC param. > Encode.
