2.2 Connecting the Speaker Microphone

  2. Align the 2-pin connector of the AR-158 with the corresponding port on your radio.
  3. Gently push the connector firmly into place until it clicks.
  4. Once connected, you can turn on your radio.

2.3 Attaching the Speaker Microphone

  • Rotatable Back Clip: The AR-158 features a 360° rotatable back clip. This allows you to securely attach the microphone to your clothing, belt, or other gear and adjust its orientation as needed.
  • Rotatable Hanging Ring: A rotatable hook is provided for flexible placement, allowing for hands-free operation and easy access.

  • Connect the provided Type-C cable to the charging port on the side of the microphone and to a compatible USB power source (DC 3.7V 1A).

The AR-158 features a stepless volume control knob located at the top of the unit. Rotate the knob to adjust the sound level for clear and louder communication.

3.3 Using the Push-To-Talk (PTT) Button

The large PTT button is located on the side of the microphone. Press and hold this button to transmit your voice, and release it to listen.

3.4 Using the 3.5mm Headphone Jack

A 3.5mm headphone jack is integrated into the microphone. Connect your compatible 3.5mm headphones to this jack for private conversations, preventing audio leakage in sensitive environments.
