- Oxygen Tube Setup (if used): If using the oxygen tube for aeration, ensure the intake valve is in contact with the air outside the aquarium. Adjust the intake valve to control the air volume.

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and efficiency of your filter and the health of your aquarium.

- Filter not running: Check if the power plug is securely connected. Ensure the impeller is not jammed by debris and is properly seated.
- Weak water flow: Clean the impeller and filter media. Ensure the filter intake is not blocked. Check for kinks in tubing if applicable.

- Water turning black after activated carbon replacement: This indicates the activated carbon was not rinsed thoroughly before installation. Remove and rinse until water runs clear.

- For small aquariums (e.g., 12-30 liters), the HJ-111B model is often a suitable and less powerful option.
- The CHJ-502 model is generally suitable for small tanks around 35-40 liters.
- When using the transparent oxygen tube, ensure the other end is outside the aquarium to draw in air for oxygen saturation.
- For larger aquariums (e.g., 80 liters or more), consider models with higher power and flow rates like the CHJ-902 or CHJ-1502. For tanks 200-300 liters, the largest available model is recommended.
