The camera uses a rechargeable InfoLithium NP-FC11 battery. Before first use, fully charge the battery using the supplied AC-LS5 adaptor/charger. Connect the charger to a power outlet and insert the battery. The charging indicator will illuminate and turn off when charging is complete.

- Open the battery/Memory Stick compartment cover on the camera.

- 3 Area Multi-Point Auto Focus: The camera evaluates three separate areas of the frame to intelligently focus on the main subject, reducing the chance of focusing on the background.
