- Ensure your camera is turned off before attaching or detaching any lens.
- Remove the rear lens cap from the Sigma lens and the body cap from your camera.
- Align the mounting index (usually a red or white dot) on the lens barrel with the corresponding index on your camera's lens mount.
- Insert the lens into the camera mount and rotate it clockwise (for Canon EF mount) until it clicks securely into place. Do not force the lens.
- Replace the front lens cap when the lens is not in use to protect the front element.
