Carefully remove the receiver from its packaging. The unit weighs approximately 19.5 pounds (8.85 kg) and measures 17-3/8" W x 5" H x 13" D (44.13 cm W x 12.7 cm H x 33.02 cm D). Place the receiver on a stable, flat surface with adequate ventilation. Ensure there is sufficient airspace above and around the unit to prevent overheating.

The RX-4109 features heavy-duty binding posts for reliable speaker connections. It supports two pairs of loudspeakers (A and B sets).
- Connect your main speakers to the "SPEAKERS A" terminals, ensuring correct polarity (+ to + and - to -).
- If using a second pair of speakers, connect them to the "SPEAKERS B" terminals.
- The receiver supports speakers with an impedance of 4-16 ohms for a single pair (A or B) or 8-16 ohms when both A and B speakers are used simultaneously.

The receiver provides five analog RCA inputs for various audio components:
