Follow these steps for proper installation of your Leviton duplex receptacle:

To use the receptacle, simply insert the plug of your electrical device into one of the two outlets. The tamper-resistant shutters will open to allow the plug to enter. Ensure the plug is fully inserted for a secure connection. When removing a plug, pull it straight out from the receptacle.
