Introduction

The 3M 8247 Disposable Odor Respirator is designed to help reduce exposure to particles and nuisance levels of organic vapors. Setup and Proper Usage

Proper fitting and use of the 3M R95 Odor Respirator are crucial for effective protection. Follow these steps carefully:

1. Inspect the Respirator: Before each use, inspect the respirator for any damage, such as tears, holes, or stretched straps. Do not use if damaged.

3. Placing on Face: Place the respirator over your nose and mouth. Pull the top strap over your head and position it above your ears. Pull the bottom strap over your head and position it around your neck, below your ears.
4. Noseclip Adjustment: Using both hands, mold the metal noseclip to the shape of your nose by pushing inward while moving your fingertips down both sides of the noseclip. This ensures a tight seal.

The 3M 8247 Odor Respirator is a disposable product and is not designed to be cleaned or reused after it becomes soiled, damaged, or breathing becomes difficult. For optimal protection and hygiene, dispose of the respirator when:

• It becomes difficult to breathe through.
• The respirator becomes damaged or distorted.
• You detect the odor of contaminants.
• At the end of your work shift or after 8 hours of continuous or intermittent use, whichever comes first.

Store unused respirators in their original packaging in a clean, dry environment away from contaminated areas.

• DIY/HOME USE: Use ONLY in NON-HARMFUL environments.

• Facial hair, beards, or other conditions that prevent a good face seal will reduce the effectiveness of the respirator.
