Step 1: Locate the OBD2 Port

Most vehicles manufactured after 1996 are equipped with an OBD2 diagnostic port. This port is typically located under the dashboard on the driver's side, but its exact position can vary by vehicle model. Refer to your vehicle's owner's manual if you have difficulty locating it.

Step 2: Connect the iCar Pro Device

Firmly plug the Vgate iCar Pro BLE 4.0 device into your vehicle's OBD2 port. Ensure it is securely seated. The device's indicator lights should illuminate, indicating it is powered on.

Step 3: Download a Compatible Application

The Vgate iCar Pro BLE 4.0 works with many popular third-party OBD2 applications. For iOS and Android devices, search for "OBD2 scanner" or "car diagnostic" apps in your device's app store (e.g., App Store for iOS, Google Play Store for Android). Popular compatible apps include Torque Pro (Android), Car Scanner ELM OBD2, OBDeleven, and BimmerCode/BimmerLink (for specific BMW models).

Step 4: Pair the Device with Your Smartphone/Tablet
