The Suspension-NXT features a butterfly opening mechanism for quick access to its primary pliers. All outboard tools are locking for safe and secure use.
Opening the Pliers
To open the pliers, simply unfold the two handles outwards. The spring-loaded mechanism will assist in opening the pliers for immediate use.

Accessing Individual Tools
Each individual tool is located on the outer sides of the handles. To deploy a tool, gently pull it outwards from its stored position. The tool will click into place, indicating it is locked and ready for use. To fold it back, locate the small lever or button near the base of the deployed tool, press it, and carefully fold the tool back into the handle.

Regularly clean your multi-tool to ensure optimal performance. Use a damp cloth to wipe down the tool after each use, especially if exposed to dirt, moisture, or corrosive substances. For deeper cleaning, use a small brush to remove debris from joints and crevices. Dry thoroughly.

Apply a small amount of light machine oil to the pivot points and moving parts periodically to maintain smooth operation and prevent rust. Wipe off any excess oil.

If any components feel loose over time, you can tighten the Torx screws located on the pivots. Use an appropriate Torx bit to gently tighten them until the desired tension is achieved, being careful not to overtighten.

Stiff Tools
If tools become stiff or difficult to open, apply a small amount of lubricant to the pivot points and work the tools back and forth to distribute the oil. Ensure the tool is clean and free of debris.
Loose Components
As mentioned in the maintenance section, use a Torx bit to tighten the pivot screws if components feel loose. Do not force or overtighten.
Blade Dullness
The partially serrated blade can be sharpened using a standard knife sharpener for the plain edge and a specialized serration sharpener for the serrated part. Always exercise caution when sharpening.
