Follow these steps to set up your automatic chicken door control unit:

1. Mounting the Control Unit: Choose a suitable location on your chicken coop wall, protected from direct weather exposure if possible. Ensure it is positioned correctly relative to the door/slider.
2. Installing the Door/Slider: If not already installed, mount the chicken door or slider (available separately in two sizes) according to its own instructions. Ensure it moves freely.
3. Attaching Pulleys: Install the four reversible pulleys to guide the lifting string from the control unit to the chicken door. Position them to allow smooth, unobstructed movement of the string.

4. Connecting the String: Thread the lifting string through the pulleys and attach it securely to the chicken door/slider. Ensure the string is taut but allows full range of motion for the door.
