The STEELMATE SBS-1 system is designed for straightforward installation. It features a patented display for the A-pillar that does not require stickers or glue, and its ON/OFF function is optional. The radar sensors are designed to be mounted behind the bumper without drilling holes.

Connect the sensors, display, and vehicle power supply to the ECU using the provided main and display wiring harnesses. Ensure all connections are secure and properly insulated. The ECU operates on DC 9-30V, making it compatible with both 12V and 24V vehicle electrical systems.

Once installed and powered, the STEELMATE SBS-1 system continuously monitors your vehicle's blind spots using its 79GHz microwave radar sensors. The sensors detect objects within a range of at least 5 meters (16.4 ft) and a 120° field of view. When another vehicle enters this detection zone, the system processes the information through the ECU.

Upon detecting a vehicle in the blind spot, the system provides both visual and audible alerts:
