This manual provides detailed instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Sharp SPC569 Desktop Dual Alarm Clock. This clock features atomic time synchronization, a vibrant color display, dual alarm settings, and a calendar display. Please read this manual thoroughly to ensure proper use and to maximize the clock's functionality.

1. Power Connection
- Connect the provided AC adapter to the clock's power input jack.
- Plug the AC adapter into a standard electrical outlet. The display will illuminate.
2. Battery Backup Installation (Optional)
For uninterrupted alarm function and to retain time/alarm settings during power interruptions, install backup batteries.
- Locate the battery backup compartment on the rear of the clock.

Atomic Time Synchronization
The clock automatically attempts to synchronize with the WWVB atomic time signal. This process may take up to 3 days to establish a strong signal. For best reception, place the clock near a window.
- During the atomic signal search, the screen may temporarily go dark. It will re-illuminate once the signal is located and time is set.
- The atomic clock will automatically adjust for Daylight Saving Time (DST) if the DST setting is enabled.
Setting Time Zone and DST
Use the buttons on the rear panel (refer to Figure 3).
