Select a suitable location for the charging base. It should be:

• Within 32 feet (10 meters) of a power outlet.
• In a shaded area, if possible, to protect the base and Landroid from direct sunlight.
• On flat ground to ensure effective docking.

Ensure there is at least a 32-inch (80 cm) straight path in front of the base and a 12-inch (30 cm) straight path on the exit side for smooth docking and undocking.

The boundary wire defines the mowing area for your Landroid. Lay the wire around the perimeter of your lawn, securing it to the ground with pegs approximately every 32 inches (80 cm).

• Use the supplied gauge to measure the distance from the boundary wire to the edge of your yard.
• If there is a step at the edge of your lawn, keep the wire at 10.2 inches (26 cm) from it.
• If there is no step, keep the wire at 4 inches (10 cm) from the edge.
• Ensure the wire is flush with or as close to the ground as possible to prevent damage.

To protect flowerbeds, ponds, tree roots, and other areas, surround them with the boundary wire. Always lay the wire clockwise around these areas. Failing to do so will make the mower drive into the island. Depart the edge at a right angle to reach the area to be protected and return to the edge of the lawn following the same path.

3. Connecting the Boundary Wire

Strip one end of the perimeter wire with scissors. Insert the stripped end into the red left clamp on the charging base and pass the wire through the guide. Once the boundary wire returns to the base, pass it through the guide up to the black right clamp. Strip the end of the wire and insert it into the black right clamp. Close the cover.

4. Power Connection

Connect the power cord to the AC/DC transformer and the AC plug to a power outlet. If everything is connected correctly, the LED on the charging base will light green. If the LED turns red, there is a trouble in the loop, such as a broken wire or wire ends not properly clamped. Check connections and refer to the troubleshooting section if the problem persists.

5. Battery Installation & Initial Charge

Open the rear compartment of the Landroid and insert the PowerShare battery into the slot until it clicks securely. Place the Landroid on the charging base, ensuring the metal prongs on the Landroid make contact with the metal prongs on the charging base. The LED on the Landroid will blink green, indicating it is charging. Once the battery is fully charged, the LED will turn solid green. Your Landroid is now ready for its first test drive.

2. Automatic Mowing

3. Rain Sensor and Weather Resistance

The Landroid is weatherproof and equipped with a rain sensor. When rain is detected, it will automatically return to its charging base and resume mowing once the lawn is dry, preventing damage to your lawn from cutting wet grass.
