The Berrcom JXB/178 thermometer requires two AA batteries (not included). Follow these steps to install them:
- Locate the battery bay cover at the bottom of the thermometer handle.
- Gently slide or pull the battery cover open.

Taking a Temperature Measurement (Body Mode)
