2. Fill the water reservoir with clean water up to the maximum fill line.
3. Place the empty filter holder with the permanent filter (or no filter) into its position.
4. Place the insulated cup with its lid removed onto the drip tray.
5. Plug the coffee machine into a suitable power outlet.
6. Press the On/Off button to start a brewing cycle with only water.
7. Allow the cycle to complete. The machine will automatically shut off.
8. Discard the hot water and allow the machine to cool down before proceeding.
