The car seat consists of the main seat unit, an adjustable headrest, a 5-point harness system (removable for older groups), ISOFIX connectors, and a top tether strap. The seat also includes a manual storage compartment for convenience.

General Adjustments

Before installation, ensure the car seat is adjusted to fit your child's height and the vehicle's recline angle.

Installation Methods by Group

The EnfaSafe Event FX Car Seat supports various installation methods depending on the child's weight group. Refer to the table below and the detailed instructions for each method.

Group 1 (9-18kg) - Vehicle Belt Only

1. Place the car seat securely against the vehicle backrest.
2. Thread the vehicle seat belt through the slot in the back of the car seat. Continue to thread through to the opposite side.
3. Fasten the seat belt, ensuring there is an audible click.
4. Ensure the vehicle belt is threaded securely within the red belt guide.
5. Remove all slack in the belt by pulling firmly.

Group 1 (9-18kg) - ISOFIX and Top Tether

1. Access the rear of the car seat and extend the ISOFIX bars.
2. Place ISOFIX guides if needed into your vehicle's ISOFIX points.
3. Line up the ISOFIX bars with the vehicle's ISOFIX points and push the car seat into place until you hear a click and the indicator turns green.
4. Push the ISOFIX bars in as far as possible towards the vehicle seat backrest. Ensure the ISOFIX indicator is green before use.
5. On the rear of the car seat, extend the top tether strap.
6. Clip the top tether hook onto the vehicle's top tether anchorage point.
7. Remove any slack in the top tether. Ensure the top tether indicator is green before use.

Group 2/3 (15-36kg) - Vehicle Belt Only (without 5-point harness)

1. Ensure the 5-point harness has been removed (see "Harness Adjustment & Removal" section).
2. Thread the vehicle seat belt across the front of the car seat.
3. Place the car seat securely against the vehicle backrest. Fasten the seat belt ensuring there is an audible click.
4. Ensure vehicle shoulder and lap belts are threaded through the red belt guide.
5. Secure the belt into position, ensuring no slack.

Group 2/3 (15-36kg) - Vehicle Belt and ISOFIX (without 5-point harness)

1. Ensure the 5-point harness has been removed.
2. Access the rear of the car seat and extend the ISOFIX bars.

Harness Adjustment & Removal

For Group 1 and 2 (up to 25kg), the 5-point harness is used. For Group 3 (22-36kg), the 5-point harness is removed, and the child is secured directly by the vehicle's 3-point seat belt.

Adjusting the 5-Point Harness

Ensure the harness straps are snug against your child's body, with no more than two fingers fitting between the strap and the child's collarbone. The headrest must be adjusted so that the shoulder harness is at the same level as your child's shoulders.

Removing the 5-Point Harness for Group 3 Use

When your child reaches Group 3 (22-36kg), the 5-point harness should be removed. Follow these steps:

1. Undo the harness and remove the insert.
2. Unhook the harness from the metal connector on the rear of the seat and secure it into the holder.
3. Pull the straps through the front of the seat.
4. Unhook the chest pads from the metal bar on the back of the seat and pull through the front to remove from the seat.
5. Remove the crotch pad.
6. Lift and drop back the fabric panels. Put the buckle in the space at the corners and fold the belt into place.
7. Recover the back panel and secure with press studs as before.
