4.1. Батареяны орнотуу

The AP-770K requires a 9V battery for operation. To install or replace the battery:

Always connect the black test lead to the 'COM' (common) jack. Connect the red test lead to the appropriate input jack based on the measurement function:

• Voltage, Resistance, Frequency, Capacitance, Diode, Continuity, Temperature, Dwell Angle, Pulse Width, Duty Cycle, and mA current measurements, connect the red lead to the VΩHzmA джек.
• For 20A current measurements, connect the red lead to the 20A джек.

To begin, turn the rotary selector switch to the desired measurement function. The meter will automatically select the appropriate range (auto-ranging) for most functions.

5.2. Specific Measurement Modes

Ensure test leads are correctly connected as described in Section 4.2.

• DC/AC Voltage (V): Rotate the switch to 'V='. Use 'SELECT' to toggle between DC and AC voltage. Connect leads in parallel to the circuit.
• DC/AC Current (A, mA): Rotate the switch to 'mA~' or '20A~'. Use 'SELECT' to toggle between DC and AC current. Connect leads in series with the circuit. For currents above 20A, an external current clamp (not included) is required.

• Dwell Angle: Rotate the switch to 'DWELL'. This function measures the dwell angle for 4, 6, or 8-cylinder engines.
• Tachometer (RPM): Rotate the switch to 'RPM'. This function measures engine revolutions per minute.
• Pulse Width (ms-PULSE): Rotate the switch to 'ms-PULSE'. Measures the pulse width in milliseconds.

If the current measurement functions cease to work, the fuse may need replacement. To replace the fuse:

4. Carefully remove the blown fuse and replace it with a fuse of the exact same type and rating.
5. Replace the battery and the compartment cover, securing it with the screw.
