  • MirrorMode: All connected external displays show the same content as your laptop screen.

Mac OS Operating System:

Mac OS systems support Mirror Mode and Extend Mode, but external monitors will mirror each other, not provide independent extended displays beyond the laptop screen itself.

  • MirrorMode: All connected external displays will show the same content as your MacBook's screen.

Mac OS external monitors are mirrored, not extended independently
  • This is a limitation of Mac OS when using a single video output from the docking station to multiple external displays. The docking station extends the desktop from the Mac, but then mirrors that extended desktop across its multiple video outputs.
