The SmallRig Aluminum Alloy Cage is a form-fitting camera cage designed to provide protection and multiple mounting points for accessories for your Nikon Z series camera. It enhances the versatility of your camera setup for various shooting scenarios, including video production and photography.

• Formfitting Design: Precisely designed for Nikon Z5/Z6/Z7/Z6II/Z7II cameras, ensuring full access to buttons, ports, and battery compartment.
• Multiple Mounting Interfaces: Features multiple 1/4”-20 thread holes and 3/8”-16 ARRI locating holes for attaching various accessories such as magic arms, top handles, and monitor mounts.
• Built-in Cold Shoe: Located at the top of the cage for easy installation of microphones, LED lights, or other cold shoe compatible accessories.
• Integrated NATO Rail: Positioned on the left side of the cage, allowing for quick attachment and detachment of NATO clamp handles (e.g., Nato Clamp Handle 2187).
• Stable and Anti-twist: Secures the camera firmly via a 1/4”-20 screw at the base and an additional M2.5 screw at the side, preventing twisting and ensuring stability.
• Lens Bayonet Protection: Two threaded holes at the bottom front are reserved for compatibility with the FTZ lens adapter ring 2244, offering protection for the lens bayonet.
• Wrist Strap & Shoulder Strap Interfaces: Provides dedicated interfaces for attaching shoulder and wrist straps, enhancing comfort and safety during handheld shooting.

Follow these steps to properly install the SmallRig camera cage onto your Nikon Z series camera:

1. Камераны даярдоо: Ensure your camera is powered off. For some Nikon Z models, it may be necessary to remove the triangular camera strap rings to allow for proper cage fit and access to mounting screws.
2. Негизги тегиздөө: Place your Nikon Z camera into the cage, aligning the 1/4”-20 screw on the cage's base with the tripod socket on the bottom of your camera.
3. Secure the Base Screw: Tighten the 1/4”-20 screw firmly to secure the camera to the cage.
4. Attach Side Screw: Locate the M2.5 screw on the side of the cage. Align it with the corresponding hole on your camera body (typically near the strap lug on the left side when viewed from the rear). Tighten this screw to prevent camera twisting within the cage.
5. Optional: Attach HDMI & USB Cable Clamp (ID 2927): If using, attach the HDMI & USB cable clamp to the designated mounting points on the cage to secure your cables and prevent accidental disconnections.

The SmallRig camera cage is designed to enhance your camera's functionality and protection. Utilize the various mounting points to customize your setup:

• Cage Not Fitting Properly: Ensure you have the correct cage model for your specific Nikon Z camera. Verify that any camera strap rings or other protrusions are removed if they interfere with the cage's fit.
• Camera Twisting in Cage: Make sure both the 1/4”-20 base screw and the M2.5 side screw are securely tightened. The M2.5 screw is crucial for preventing rotation.
