This manual provides essential information for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your Dual CS 429 Fully Automatic Turntable. Please read these instructions carefully before using the device to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
The Dual CS 429 is engineered for high-fidelity audio playback with user-friendly automatic functions. Its robust construction, including a solid MDF plinth and a die-cast aluminum platter, is designed to minimize vibrations and enhance sound quality. The turntable features a straight, statically balanced tonearm for precise tracking.

2. Platter and Mat Installation
- Gently place the die-cast aluminum platter onto the turntable spindle.
- Position the heavy rubber mat on top of the platter.

3. Tonearm Balance and Anti-Skating
- Follow the detailed instructions in the included quick start guide for precise tonearm balancing and anti-skating adjustment. Correct adjustment is crucial for optimal sound quality and to prevent record wear.
4. Audio and Power Connections
- Connect the RCA audio cables from the turntable's 'AUDIO OUT' to your amplifier's 'PHONO' input. If your amplifier does not have a dedicated 'PHONO' input, use the turntable's built-in pre-amplifier by setting the 'PHONO/LINE' switch to 'LINE' and connecting to a standard 'LINE IN' input.
- Connect the ground wire (GND) to your amplifier's ground terminal to minimize hum.
- Plug the power adapter into the 'DC IN 12V' port on the rear of the turntable, then into a wall outlet.

- Locate the power button on the rear panel of the turntable. Press it to turn the unit on or off.

3. Automatic Playback

4. Manual Playback (Optional)
- To manually cue a record, gently lift the tonearm using the cueing lever. Position the tonearm over the desired track and lower the cueing lever to drop the stylus.
- To stop playback manually, lift the tonearm with the cueing lever and return it to its rest. Press the 'STOP' button to halt the platter.
