The DSC PTC1620U AC Transformer operates automatically once properly installed and connected to a live 120VAC outlet. It continuously supplies 16.5 Volts of AC power at 20 VA to the connected DSC Impassa Alarm System.
The transformer's primary function is to power the alarm system and maintain the charge of its backup battery, ensuring continuous operation even during power fluctuations or outages (when the backup battery is fully charged and functional).
