Operating Your Rifle Scope

Rotate the magnification ring (located near the eyepiece) to adjust the magnification from 6x to 24x. The SH4J features a smooth magnification ring for precise control.

Turret Adjustments (Elevation & Windage)

The elevation turret (top) and windage turret (right side) allow for precise adjustments to your point of impact. Each click provides a tactile and audible feedback, ensuring confident adjustments. The turrets offer 0.1 MRAD adjustments per click.

The side parallax adjustment knob (left side) allows you to eliminate parallax error at various distances. Rotate the knob until the target appears clear and the reticle is sharp. Range numbers are visible from the shooting position for quick adjustments.

To ensure a sharp and clear reticle image, adjust the reticle/ocular focus ring located at the very rear of the scope. Look away from the scope and then quickly look back through it. Adjust until the reticle is perfectly sharp. This should be the first adjustment made when setting up the scope.

Zero Stop System (AZS)

The Arken Zero Stop (AZS) allows for a quick and reliable return to your established zero. After zeroing your rifle, loosen the set screws on the elevation turret, rotate the turret to your desired zero, and then tighten the set screws. This creates a physical stop at your zero setting.

The SH4J 6-24X50 VHR-MOA model features the VHR-MOA reticle, designed for precise holdovers and windage corrections. This Christmas-tree style reticle provides accurate subtensions across the entire magnification range.

The scope is O-ring sealed and nitrogen purged, ensuring it remains waterproof and fogproof. If the exterior becomes dirty, wipe it down with a damp cloth. Store the scope in a dry, cool place, ideally in its original packaging or a protective case, when not in use.
