1. Identify the Blade Type:
   • For dull or damaged garden tools (e.g., pruners, shears, lawn mower blades, axes), start with the Tungsten Carbide Blade.
   • For fine honing, polishing, or delicate blades (e.g., kitchen knives), use the Pure Ceramic Blade.
2. Sharpening with Tungsten Carbide:
   • Hold the sharpener firmly.
   • Place the tungsten carbide slot over the blade edge.
   • Pull the sharpener across the blade with light, consistent pressure, moving from the base to the tip. Repeat 3-5 times or until the blade is sharp.
   • The plastic tip protects the tungsten carbide and ceramic edge from damage if dropped.

3. Honing with Pure Ceramic:
   • After using the tungsten carbide, or for fine sharpening, use the ceramic slot.
   • Pull the sharpener across the blade with very light pressure, ensuring the ceramic rods make contact with the edge. Repeat 5-10 times.
   • This step removes burrs and refines the edge for superior sharpness.

4.2 Using the SHARPAL 181N Dual-Grit Diamond Sharpening Stone File

1. Select the Grit:
   • колдонуу Coarse 325 Grit side for very dull, damaged, or chipped blades, or when you need to quickly establish a new edge.

2. Sharpening Technique:
   • Hold the blade at a consistent angle against the diamond surface. The SHARPAL 181N has a built-in 20-degree angle guide to assist.
   • Apply moderate pressure and push the blade across the stone, moving from the heel to the tip, maintaining the chosen angle.
   • Flip the blade and repeat on the other side, pulling the blade across the stone.
   • Alternate sides, reducing pressure with each pass, until a burr forms along the edge.
   • Once a burr is felt, switch to the Extra Fine 1200 Grit side (if not already using it) and make lighter passes to remove the burr and polish the edge.
   • For optimal results, finish by stropping the blade on the rough side of the leather sheath.
