Introduction

This manual provides essential instructions for the proper use, care, and maintenance of your ResMed AirFit F40 Replacement Frame System. This product is designed to be a component of a CPAP mask system and does not include headgear. Please read all instructions carefully before use.

WARNING: Magnetic Interference Risk

Keep the mask magnets at a safe distance of at least 6 inches (150 mm) away from implants or medical devices that may be adversely affected by magnetic interference. This warning applies to you or anyone in close physical contact with your mask. The magnets are located in the frame and lower headgear clips, with a magnetic field strength of up to 400mT. When worn, they connect to secure the mask but may inadvertently detach while asleep.

Proper fitting is crucial for optimal performance and comfort. Ensure you have the correct cushion size for your face. This product is a Large size frame system.

To assemble and fit the frame system:

1. Attach the cushion to the frame, ensuring it is securely seated.
2. Connect your existing headgear (not included) to the frame's attachment points.
3. Hold the mask against your face and adjust the headgear straps to achieve a comfortable and secure fit. The magnetic clips facilitate easy attachment and detachment.
4. Connect the quick-release elbow to the mask frame, then attach your CPAP tubing to the elbow.
5. Turn on your CPAP device and check for any air leaks. Make minor adjustments to the headgear straps as needed to minimize leaks without overtightening.

Regular cleaning of your AirFit F40 frame system is essential for hygiene and optimal performance. Follow these daily cleaning instructions:

• Soak the frame system components (excluding headgear) in warm water with a mild liquid detergent.
• Shake vigorously in the water and hand wash with a soft bristle brush to remove any residue.

• Leave to air dry out of direct sunlight before reassembly.
