The BrosTrend 5KM WiFi Bridge units come pre-paired from the factory for a simplified setup. To initiate the connection:

1. Place both AP (Transmitter) and Station (Receiver) units in the same room.
2. Connect each unit to its respective power adapter and PoE injector.
3. Power on both units. They will automatically detect and pair with each other within minutes.

3.2 Physical Installation and Mounting

The units are designed for outdoor use and can be mounted on a wall or pole. Ensure a clear line of sight between the two units for optimal performance.

3.4 Connecting to Your Network

After initial pairing and mounting, connect the units to your network:

1. AP (Transmitter) Setup: Connect the LAN port of the AP unit to your main router or modem using an Ethernet cable.
2. Station (Receiver) Setup: Connect the LAN port of the Station unit to your desired network device (e.g., another WiFi router, camera, laptop) in the remote building.

3.5 Alignment for Optimal Performance

For optimal performance and maximum range, a clear line of sight between the two CPEs is required. Obstacles like trees, buildings, and large steel structures can block the wireless signal. Ensure the units are aligned within a 30-degree vertical and horizontal angle towards each other.

Proper alignment of the AP and Station units is crucial for maintaining a strong and reliable connection.

If you encounter issues with your BrosTrend 5KM WiFi Bridge, consider the following:

• No Connection/Weak Signal: Ensure a clear line of sight between the AP and Station units. Obstacles such as trees, buildings, or large metal structures can significantly degrade signal quality. Verify that both units are powered on and their signal strength LEDs indicate a good connection.
• Configuration Access: If advanced configuration is needed, connect a computer directly to one of the units via an Ethernet cable. Access the web-based management interface using the default IP addresses (AP: 192.168.2.1, Station: 192.168.2.2) and credentials (Username: admin, Password: admin) as indicated on the product label.
