3. Before First Use (Setup)

Place the empty filter holder with the permanent filter inside the machine, and position the empty carafe on the warming plate. Run a full brewing cycle without coffee grounds. Discard the water. Repeat this process once more.

The coffee maker features a programmable 24-hour timer and clock with a digital LCD display.

- Plug in the coffee maker. The display will flash '12:00'.

5.2 Setting the Auto-Brew Time

Mineral deposits (calcium) from water can build up in your coffee maker and affect its performance. Descale regularly, depending on water hardness and frequency of use (e.g., every 2-4 weeks).
- Prepare a descaling solution: Mix 1 oz (2 tablespoons) of Capresso Cleaning Solution (or white vinegar) with 10 oz (1.25 cups) of water.

- After the cycle is complete, discard the solution and rinse the carafe thoroughly.
- Fill the water reservoir with fresh cold water and run two full brewing cycles with water only to rinse out any remaining descaling solution.
