The Firefield RapidStrike 1-10x24 Riflescope Kit comes pre-installed on its mount, which features four recoil lugs and four Torx bolts for secure attachment to a rail. While pre-assembled, it is recommended to verify the riflescope's levelness and to apply a small amount of blue Loctite to the Torx bolts before tightening them. The manufacturer recommends torquing these bolts between 18 and 20 inch-pounds for optimal security.

The riflescope offers a flexible magnification range from 1x to 10x. The magnification ring is located near the eyepiece and features large, clear numbers for easy adjustment. The adjustment is designed to be smooth, allowing for seamless transitions between magnification levels. A throw lever attachment is included and can be installed in the designated hole between the 5x and 6x markings on the magnification ring for quicker adjustments.

Reticle and Illumination

The riflescope features a second focal plane (SFP) CR1 reticle. This reticle is etched and offers illumination in both black, red, and green colors, with brightness settings from 0 to 5. The illumination is controlled by a knob on the side of the optic. It is important to remember to turn off the reticle illumination when not in use to conserve battery life.

After zeroing the riflescope, the turrets can be reset to zero. Use the provided tool to loosen the turret cap, remove it, rotate the numbered ring to align the '0' with the white dot indicator, and then re-secure the cap. This allows for quick and easy return to your established zero.

The illuminated reticle is powered by a CR2032 battery. To access the battery compartment, use the provided tool to loosen and remove the battery cap located on the illumination knob. Insert the CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing outwards. The battery door is O-ring sealed to protect against moisture.

Battery life is approximately 260 hours on low illumination settings. Always ensure the illumination is turned off when not in use to maximize battery life.
