The Olympus Stylus 840 is an 8.0-megapixel digital camera designed for ease of use and high-quality imaging. Insert the supplied Lithium-Ion battery (LI-42B) into the charger. Connect the charger to a power outlet. The charging indicator light will show the charging status. Charge the battery fully before first use.

The Olympus Stylus 840 uses xD Picture Cards for image storage. Open the memory card slot cover, typically located on the side or bottom of the camera. Insert the xD Picture Card with the correct orientation until it clicks into place. Close the cover securely.
Note: The camera does not include an xD Picture Card. A card with at least 2 GB capacity is recommended.
