Follow these steps to properly install the in-line moisture filter:

1. Ensure the air compressor is turned off and the air line is depressurized.
2. Identify the direction of air flow in your system. The filter has an arrow indicating the correct flow direction (refer to Figure 3).
3. Connect the inlet side of the filter (indicated by the arrow) to your air hose or air delivery system using the 1/4-inch NPT male threads.
4. Connect your air tool or another section of the air hose to the outlet side of the filter using the 1/4-inch NPT female threads.
5. Tighten all connections securely to prevent air leaks. Thread sealant tape (PTFE tape) is recommended for NPT connections to ensure an airtight seal.
6. Slowly re-pressurize the air line and check for any leaks.

Once installed, the Kobalt In-line Moisture Filter operates automatically. Compressed air flows through the filter, and the internal element traps moisture and debris. The clear housing allows for visual monitoring of the collected moisture.

• Ensure the air pressure remains within the recommended operating range. The average working pressure is 20 CFM at 90 PSI, with a maximum pressure of 120 PSI.
• Regularly inspect the clear housing for accumulated water.

Draining Moisture:

The filter is equipped with a drain valve to remove collected water. To drain water from the bowl, push up the drain valve. Perform this task regularly, especially when visible water accumulates in the clear housing.

1. Depressurize the air line before draining, if possible, to ensure safety and efficient drainage.
2. Position a suitable container beneath the drain valve to catch the expelled water.
3. Push up the drain valve to release the accumulated moisture.
4. Once all water is drained, release the drain valve to close it.
