It is highly recommended to use bentonite or mixed clumping cat litter that is shorter than 5mm. Long plant litters, like long-strip tofu litter, are not recommended as they may not filter properly through the sifting mechanism.
A flashing red light typically indicates a fault or obstruction. This could mean the litter box is sticking to the bottom, the pedal has shifted, a safety door is encountering resistance, or the machine has detected a foreign object.
