Ensure your laptop's USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alt Mode (DP Alt Mode) and is either USB 3.1 Type-C (Gen2) or a Thunderbolt 3/4 port. The bandwidth of your USB-C port directly impacts display capabilities:

• USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 (5Gbps): Limited display support (e.g., some MacBook 2015 models).
• USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 (10Gbps): Supports one or two displays.
• USB 3.2 (20Gbps): Supports up to three displays.
• Thunderbolt 3/4 (40Gbps): Supports quadruple displays (with two HOST connections).

Port Overview

The MOKiN 18-in-1 Docking Station features a comprehensive array of ports:

The docking station supports various display configurations to enhance your productivity:

• Windows: Supports Quadruple Display in Extended Mode (laptop + 3 external displays) and Mirror Mode.
• MacOS: Supports Triple Display in Extended Mode and Mirror Mode. Due to Mac OS limitations, MST (Multi-Stream Transport) display is not supported, meaning additional monitors can only mirror the source screen instead of extending your desktop to three separate screens under No-Mirror mode.

Important Display Notes:

• When the VGA port is connected, the resolution of all monitors connected to the HOST2 port will be limited to 1920x1080@60Hz (maximum).
• The final resolution of HDMI output depends on your host device's capabilities.
• HDMI signals cannot be transferred to DP signals; DP monitors are not directly supported.

M.2 SATA SSD корпусу

The integrated SSD enclosure supports M.2 B-KEY or B&M-Key SATA SSDs with a maximum capacity of 2TB. It does not support M.2 PCIe AHCI SSDs or any SSDs from Mac. The enclosure is plug-and-play, allowing for easy storage expansion.

• Display Blackout: Due to the EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) communication process, your displays may temporarily blackout for a few seconds (up to 1 minute maximum, depending on the laptop and monitor) when first plugged in or when changing display modes. Please be patient; they should recover shortly.

• Mac OS Display Limitations: Mac OS and Chrome OS do not support MST Display. Monitors will only mirror the source screen in No-Mirror mode. Not compatible with MacBook Pro/Air/Mini M1.
